This kit is for 4000 machining centers serial number MC-4006 through MC-4036.
The early 4000 machines had only 2 jamb clamps on the front of the machine. This kit upgrades the 4000 machine to have 3 jamb clamps. This provides more secure clamping and greater accuracy and repeatability to the hinge mortising.
