This kit is for 5000 machining centers serial numbers MC-5001 through MC-5111.
This kit adds override switches for the butt router shift, the pre-drill shift, and the pre-drill plunge to the 5000. The butt router shift override switch forces the butt router assemblies to shift to the right out of the hinge locations. The pre-drill shift override switch forces the pre-drill assemblies to shift to the right into the hinge locations. The pre-drill plunge button forces the pre-drill assemblies to plunge and the pre-drill motors to run. The override is useful when the pre-drills get stuck in the door and jamb. The operator can easily get the drills unstuck without breaking the drills or interrupting the machine cycle. The overrides are also useful for setup and adjustment of the pre-drills.
